The Globalstar SPOT Trace is a small tracker that operates in several different modes. It can be set up to send out automatic position reports every 2.5, 5, 10, 30, or 60 minutes, and has a built-in motion sensor that enables it to send GPS positions only when the unit is moving (saving battery life or alerting you in case of theft). For marine environments, the unit can be put in 'Dock Mode' to avoid erroneous positions sent out due to normal marine vibrations.
